Sessions can take place at the LET'S ANIMATE studio or we can come to your setting.

LET'S HAVE A TASTER!

ANIMATION TASTER SESSION

Group Size : 30 Filmmakers​

Length : 2 Hours

Cost : £225 

Age : 7+

Split into smaller groups, filmmakers will explore the chosen animation style, providing a glimpse into the world of stop-motion animation. 

​

The first hour will focus on creating, while the second hour will be dedicated to animating and editing. 

​

After the session filmmakers will have a strong understanding of equipment, techniques and processes involved. 

​

This taster session allows filmmakers to engage creatively in a short time frame while gaining a taste of the animation process.

WHAT HAPPENS AT A LET'S ANIMATE TASTER SESSION

1. 

INTRODUCTION

Filmmakers gather and receive an overview of the day's schedule and objectives.

​

Brief introduction to animation styles and techniques.

2.

STORY DEVELOPMENT

Filmmakers are split into smaller groups.

​

Groups brainstorm ideas for a short scenario.

3.

CREATING MODELS & PROPS

Depending on the chosen style, filmmakers will:

​

Build characters from plasticine, create cut-out characters or select brick figures for animation.

4.

ANIMATION TECHNIQUES

Introduction to basic animation techniques.

​

Group learn how to use the equipment needed for their projects.

5.

ANIMATING & EDITING

Filmmakers animate their scenario, applying the techniques learned.

 

Moving on to editing and adding sounds.

6.

WRAP - UP

​Reflection on the session and discuss key takeaways.

LET'S CREATE A SCENE!

ANIMATION DAY

Group Size : 30 Filmmakers​

Length : 5 Hours

Cost : £325

Age : 7+

Split into smaller groups, filmmakers will explore the chosen animation style, planning, scripting, and building a scene as they dive into the

creation of a short story.

​

The first part of the day will focus on devising a

short story and creating models, props, and sets.

 

The second part will concentrate on

animating and editing.

​

After the session, filmmakers will have a strong understanding of developing a story, creating models, props and sets, as well as the equipment, techniques, and processes involved in animating and editing.

​

The Animation Day allows filmmakers to engage creatively and collaboratively while gaining practical skills in animation.

LET'S CREATE A FILM!

ANIMATION COURSE

Group Size : 30 Filmmakers​

Length : 5 Days

Cost : £1625 

Age : 7+

Split into smaller groups, filmmakers will embark on an animated adventure, exploring the complete process of animation production.

​

Over the five days, filmmakers will learn in-depth all about devising a story, storyboarding, building sets, models, and props, animating, and editing, ultimately producing a fully realised animated film

for everyone to enjoy!

 

After the course, filmmakers will have gained a comprehensive understanding of all

facets of animation.

 

 

At the end of the course, filmmakers will have hands-on experience in all aspects of animation, culminating in a fully produced animated film.

LET'S DROP-IN!

ANIMATION DROP-IN SESSION

Length : 1 Day

Cost : £325

Age : ALL AGES

A drop-in animation session, perfect for events and festivals, allows filmmakers to visit the

LET'S ANIMATE mobile animation studio and experience the animation process firsthand. It's a fantastic opportunity to try your hand at animation!

​

Let's Animate will set up a simple task for filmmakers to complete, allowing them to join in and leave as they please

​

​At the end of the day, filmmakers will leave feeling happy and fulfilled, having explored the animation process—perhaps even inspired for their next project!

​

The drop-in session is designed to be an enjoyable and inspiring experience, allowing filmmakers to explore animation in a fun, flexible way.

WHAT HAPPENS AT A LET'S ANIMATE DROP-IN SESSION

1. 

INTRODUCTION

Filmmakers are welcomed and given an overview. 

​

Brief explanation of animation styles and techniques. 

​

2.

ANIMATION TASK

A straight forward animation task is introduced that filmmakers can complete at their own pace. 

​

All necessary materials and tools are available.

3.

HANDS-ON EXPERIENCE

Filmmakers begin working on their animations.

Facilitators are on hand to offer tips, support and

technical guidance.

4.

CREATIVE FLOW

Filmmakers are encouraged to experiment and express their creativity without pressure.

Filmmakers can come and go as they please, making it a relaxed environment.

SHOWCASE

Once finished filmmakers can showcase their animations.

All completed films will be sent back to filmmakers to share with friends and family!

LET'S ANIMATE AFTER SCHOOL!

AFTER SCHOOL CLUBS

Group Size : 16 Filmmakers​

Length : 1 Hour

Cost : £150

Age : 7+

Why not invite LET'S ANIMATE to run an animation club at your school or organisation every week? 

​

Each session, filmmakers will receive a creative animation challenge to complete while learning about the animation process. 

​

Gaining a valuable insight into various animation techniques and storytelling. 

​

Creating together, collaborating with their peers, fostering teamwork and creativity. 

​

Each filmmaker will build a film portfolio to save and share their work forever.

WHAT HAPPENS AT A LET'S ANIMATE AFTER SCHOOL CLUB

1. 

INTRODUCTION

Filmmakers are welcomed and introduced to an animation task, that can be completed within the hour.

​

Examples of the animation task are presented and studied.

2.

ANIMATION TASK

Filmmakers create their own version of the chosen task. 

​

Tasks will vary from week to week, utilising different mediums and styles.

​

3.

ANIMATING & EDITING

Filmmakers animate their scenes, applying the

techniques learned.

 

​Moving onto editing to refine their animations and add

final touches.

4.

ENCOURAGING CREATIVITY

While following the chosen task, filmmakers are encouraged to think creatively and express their unique ideas.

 

Fostering their own styles and ideas while learning various techniques and processes.​​​

5.

SHOWCASING & SHARING

At the end of the session, filmmakers share their work with the group.

 

Reflecting on what they enjoyed and appreciated about each other's films.

FILM PORTFOLIO

Each Filmmaker builds a portfolio of their animations that they can save and share. â€‹â€‹

THE STUDIO

All workshops can be held at the

LET'S ANIMATE studio in Coventry,

designed to spark creativity.

 

Equipped with high-end tools and materials, it truly offers a vibrant creative atmosphere.

​​

​

 

 

 

​Alternatively, LET'S ANIMATE can come to you with our mobile studio!

 

We require a room with ample tables and enough space for eight animation stations.​

AFTER THE WORKSHOP \ CLUB

After all workshops, all films will be sent back to you individually via a dropbox link,

allowing you to keep and share your creations.

 

If you require a more polished look, For an extra cost, LET'S ANIMATE

can edit the videos together into one film, adding titles and credits.

​

For after school clubs, at the end of each term, films will be uploaded to Dropbox, 

where they can be download and saved indefinitely.

​
